In 2007-08 i was invited along to 2 shows performed by Barking Bataria, a London based samba band. I used the opportunity to make a short film and capture the atmosphere of the events which are very much embedded in this countries indigenous spirit of celebration. It's a fly on the wall documentary of how these dedicated and talented folk get themselves to the show along with their massive drums and crazy costumes. It was a fledgling time for me as a film maker and the films show the limitations of my skill and equipment, especially in the wet and damp conditions I encountered.
Below is an excerpt for the main feature shot at Avebury and Stonehenge, there is a bonus film shot at the Rye fire festival as well as studio tracks / slideshows.
